Recycle used stamps
Turn your old stamps into expert training and loving partnerships
How recycled stamps change lives
We work with Recycling for Good Causes, who donate up to £6 per kilo of used stamps, depending on their condition. Recycling stamps for charity is a great way to reduce waste and declutter. Plus your support will help train assistance dogs and break down the barriers that exclude disabled people from everyday life, opening the doors to independence.
How to prepare and send your stamps for recycling
- Carefully cut off any excess paper, leaving a border of about 1 centimetre. Take care not to damage the stamp.
- Collect your stamps in an envelope. Please don’t add anything else, such as letters, cash, cheques or personal details.
- Send your sealed envelope to: Canine Partners Stamp Appeal, PO BOX 16992, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B73 9YA
- You can also drop off used stamps at our National Training Centre. Look for the labelled collection box at reception.
What happens next?
Recycling For Good Causes will sort and grade your stamps, then separate them into different categories: commemorative, definitive, and foreign, which may be sold on to collectors. You won’t get a receipt from the processors, but everyone at Canine Partners is grateful you’ve chosen to support us with your stamps.
Donating specialist stamps and collections
We’re always happy to accept donations of first day covers, collections, and albums. We send these to specialists who provide a valuation, sell them at auction, and make a donation to Canine Partners. You can bring your collection to our National Training Centre, or please get in touch about arranging secure, insured delivery for special items.
