Bedfordshire Community Group
Welcome to our group
In 2006, a few passionate Canine Partners Puppy Training Volunteers in the Bedford area got together to give talks and help raise awareness of the charity they love.
Today, the Bedfordshire Community Group is about 80 members strong. The volunteers raise around £20,000 each year and have raised more than £260,000 pounds to date.
How to get involved
The group meets quarterly and keeps in touch through a regular newsletter. With a busy calendar, they welcome volunteers who’d like to help out in any way – there’s no minimum time commitment.
The team plan or attend more than 15 events a year, including:
- Talks
- Demonstrations
- Country shows
- Local fetes
- Barn dances
- Quizzes
- Dog shows
What our volunteers say
‘The volunteers I work with are the most kind, generous people who never cease to amaze me. We’re all part of a big team proving that by working together, we really can change people’s lives for the better.’ – Steve Thornton, Bedfordshire Community Group
