Time to invest in some different training?

Training. You know it makes your team stronger. It grows knowledge and hones skills. It can also turn puppies into expert assistance dogs! When your business or workplace teams up with Canine Partners, you’ll be helping us to breed, train, and support dogs that will form loving, life-changing partnerships with disabled people.

Our Corporate Team is on hand with a variety of fun ways to get involved – perfect for staff engagement. Your reward will be seeing incredible partnerships grow between the people and dogs you support. Confidence, independence, love, companionship – all thanks to you and your team.

Give as You Earn (GAYE) and Payroll Giving

For employees

Ask your employer or personal pension provider if they run a Payroll Giving scheme. You can check if your employer is registered via the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), and nominate them if they’re not already signed up. Your chosen donation will be taken before your pay is taxed. The tax relief you get depends on the rate you pay. For example, if you’re a basic rate (20%) taxpayer and you donate £8, Canine Partners will receive £10.

For employers

Joining a Payroll Giving scheme costs nothing, but it’s a powerful way to engage with staff and boost your company’s ethical credentials. Several organisations run schemes. One of the largest is CAF. If enough staff members join, your company will earn a Payroll Giving Quality Mark to celebrate and promote your support for charitable giving.

Corporate volunteering and gifts in kind

Volunteering with Canine Partners is a great way to engage your staff, focus on teambuilding or use your company’s annual volunteering days to make a difference.

Volunteer at our National Training Centre

We welcome groups of up to 15 people to help maintain our National Training Centre near Loughborough in Leicestershire. Whether you’re grabbing a paintbrush or gardening gloves, your handiwork will redirect cost savings into creating more life-changing partnerships.

Volunteer at events

At Canine Partners events and awareness days, you’ll meet other supporters and share our charity’s work with new audiences.

Raise awareness and support

Dedicate your staff volunteering day or team away day to a fun challenge that makes a real difference. Your teams can stretch their skills in a new context, while helping towards your company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals. We’ll support you with all the resources you need to share Canine Partners’ story with confidence.

Inspire local business support

Head to your high street and inspire local shops, cafes or offices to display a Canine Partners collection tin or flyer. Make it a challenge and see which team can place the most!

Help us source raffle prizes

Work as a team and use your communications skills to secure raffle prizes from local or national businesses. With exciting prizes, we can sell more raffle tickets and direct 100% of sales to supporting assistance dogs. Add some competition, with a reward for the most new leads at the end of the day.

Donate your professional skills

Could you lend your skills and expertise pro bono? Your staff could help improve our systems or support our teams, growing our impact for disabled people. Let us know your skills, and we’ll be in touch if we have a project to match.

Donate dog care and training items

We welcome donated items that help us care for assistance dogs in training. In the past we’ve gratefully received:

  • dog bowls
  • dog beds
  • canine first aid kits
  • training toys

Please get in touch if you’re thinking of making a gift in kind – we’ll let you know what’s on our wishlist.

We’re grateful to all our corporate partners, who give their support, time and expertise to make more life-changing partnerships possible
